Catalan-Style Cannelloni
Ingredients
24 Cannelloni sheets
500 grams of Beef
500 grams of Chicken
500 grams of Pork
2 Medium onions
2 tablespoons of Oil
250 grams of Grated cheese
½ cup of Broth or white wine
Béchamel sauce
½ liter of Whole milk
1 tablespoon of Flour
1 tablespoon of Oil
1 pinch of Salt
1 pinch of Nutmeg
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare the cannelloni, start by sautéing the finely chopped onion together with the seasoned meats and a tablespoon of oil.
Step 2 : Once they are ready, add half a glass of broth or white wine and remove from heat, letting it rest in the refrigerator for a few hours.
Step 3 : Next, boil the cannelloni sheets, allow them to cool, and fill them with the prepared mixture.
Step 4 : Arrange them in a baking dish.
Step 5 : Then, prepare the Béchamel sauce by heating the oil in a preheated pan along with the flour, stirring slowly with a wooden spoon.
Step 6 : After a few minutes, gradually add the cold milk, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
Step 7 : Pour the Béchamel over the cannelloni and sprinkle with cheese.
Step 8 : Bake at 200°C until gratinée, remove from the oven, and serve.
