Galician Meat Pie
Ingredients
250 grams of Ground beef or pork
½ Red bell pepper
½ Green bell pepper
2 tablespoons of Tablespoons of tomato sauce
½ tablespoon of Sweet paprika
1 pinch of Salt
1 pinch of Black pepper
1 Homemade Galician empanada dough
Preparation
Step 1 : In a skillet with olive oil, place the sliced onion and cook until golden.
Step 2 : Then, add the julienned peppers and cook for about 5 minutes.
Step 3 : Next, add the ground meat and mix with the vegetables, incorporate paprika, and season with salt and pepper.
Step 4 : After 10 minutes, add the tomato sauce and let cook on low heat.
Step 5 : Take the empanada dough and cut it into two parts.
Step 6 : Roll one part with a rolling pin and place it in a baking dish forming the base of the pie.
Step 7 : Spread the meat filling over the base dough.
Step 8 : Then, cover with the other rolled-out dough and seal with a pleat.
Step 9 : Finally, brush the pie with beaten egg and bake in the oven for approximately 20 minutes until golden on top.
