Ingredients

Hojuelas with Honey

160 grams of Wheat flour

1 Egg

1 tablespoon of Anise

1 Grated lemon

25 milliliters of Oil

½ liter of Oil

½ cup of Honey

Preparation

Step 1 : In a bowl, combine the egg, grated lemon, oil, and anise, then gradually add the flour and mix until you form a smooth, soft dough that does not stick to your hands.

Step 2 : Knead the mixture until it forms a smooth, soft dough that doesn't stick to the hands.

Step 3 : Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.

Step 4 : After that time, form walnut-sized balls and roll them out with a rolling pin until they are long and thin.

Step 5 : Heat a generous amount of oil in a pan and fry the hojuelas until golden.

Step 6 : Remove and place on absorbent paper.

Step 7 : Finally, coat the hojuelas in honey before serving.
